We are going to look at writing the SAT essay. I will have samples and we will go over them. We will talk about strategies.
I am going to give you a short story to read for homework, perhaps beginning in class. The short story is William March's "October Island."
Have your short story and vocabulary books in class on Wednesday/Thursday.

Possible sections of "The Tempest" (in preparation for Brave New World).
If there is time, you will begin doing the vocabulary review unit. There will be a vocabulary test a week from today--November 18/19.
Friday
Vocabulary review unit due. Go over. Homework: Review the short story and review your vocabulary. I plan to write many sentences referencing the short story.
